Associate of Applied Science in Medical Transcription
As part of Rasmussen College's Associate of Applied Science in Medical Transcription degree program, you will listen to dictated recordings made by health care professionals and generate medical reports and other administrative material. You will then return the documents to the health care professionals who dictated them for review and signature. These documents will become part of patients' permanent files. As a medical transcriptionist, you may also have other duties such as receiving patients, scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, and handling incoming and outgoing mail.
